Provide curriculum leadership and support classroom instruction to ensure an aligned, articulated, and cohesive instructional program.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Instructional Management

  1. Participate in the evaluation of educational programs.
  2. Work cooperatively with district and campus principals in developing and supporting instructional programs.
  3. Participate in district and grade level/content PLCs.
  4. Encourage and support development of innovative instructional programs.
  5. Assist PLC development to enhance professional collegial relationships.

Organizational Climate

  1. Communicate effectively with district and campus staff.

School/Organizational Improvement

  1. Help principals develop, maintain, and use information systems to maintain to record and track progress on campus performance, objectives, and academic excellence indicators.
  2. Serve as a curriculum link with central office administration to coordinate with the campus principal to direct activities on any campus related to the responsibilities charged to the position.
  3. Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and board policy.

Professional Growth and Development

  1. Participate in professional development to improve skills related to job assignment.
  2. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
  3. Plan and provide staff development for teachers, administrators and staff that aligns to district curriculum expectations.
